AUGUST 2025

2025-26 MEMBERSHIP

Welcome to our Club.

Many thanks if you have subscribed to become a KiwiSpurs club member for the 2025/26 season. What a season it is to come. We've waived bye-bye to Big Ange - anointed as both a saint and deemed a sinner by the fickle collective of our supporter base. To that end we now have Thomas Frank as the Gaffer - and he's beginning to grow on me.

Q; Will we sign a world class replacement for Mr Niceguy, Son Heung-Min - who knows? But we've now lost the only 'worldy' left in N17 and we need another pdq. Spurs transfer policy, whilst showing signs of improvement, stands up to about as much public scrutiny as Daniel L's bank balance!  We now don a swanky new away kit and have 'Europa Cup Winners' badges to show off on our shirt sleeves -  but the home kit still makes us look like 11 Captain Scarlets - good old Nike! And who thinks we're cursed when it comes to injuries - Madders probably does.  Lets just hope Thomas doesn't suffer the same injury crisis that befell Ange last season.

No matter how high, the high was that we left the old season on, the ‘close’ season this year has taken on an extra air of expectation. Some of us are still coming down (slowly) from the dizzy heights of 50-odd days ago. Did anyone mention we're a European Champion?

For all the hoo-ha and mayhem the reality is, we're in the Champions League (again) - so should we deign to think we could make another European Final - our third in 7 years? Too Bloody Right we can. Sure as eggs is eggs we cannot ignore the diktat that we fight to the end on all fronts. Looking back, those 22 losses in the PL last time out really were poor form. Thank goodness the curse of finals past didn't come home to bite us in the preverbial in Bilbao.

As the furthest flung supporter club on the planet, we don't let a mere trifle like, kick-offs at 3 or 4am, get us down. But I must say those early Friday and Monday morning starts won't be missed! The new season is almost underway, and we Kiwi's will be as excited, acerbic, and as fervent if not even more expectant than ever here in land of the long flat white! (Hmm, I believe I wrote something similar a last year too!).

If you haven't yet realised, this Newsletter is an invitation to come on board with a  personal KiwiSpurs Membership and an opportunity to wear whatever merchandise you may have chosen loud and proud! This year we have brought back the KiwiSpurs scarf - a limited edition from 7/8 seasons ago, I think you'll like this piece of kit! Later in the season we hope to have a t-shirt option open to you all - we're finalising deets as we speak

Membership to our great club also provides access to newsletters, invites to group meet-ups, invitations to social events such as ‘An Evening With…’ (a truly great occasion - past guests have included; Don McAllister, Graham Roberts, Clive Allen and the legendary Steve Perryman - he like us don't you know!). Although unlikely we'll have someone out here this season….we’re working with sponsors AIA to see what we can achieve.

If a Standard Membership is more your bag then great - take a look at our merchandise to see if this tickles your fancy. If  Premium KiwiSpurs Membership is more up yer street (thanks), you are halfway qualified, as part of our Overseas Supporters Club to apply for tickets for home games at the ‘New White Hart Lane’ if you’re planning a trip to London – Note: each applicant must be both a KiwiSpurs and One Hotspur member. We are also working with our Supporter’s watering hole – the Claddagh, in Auckland, on ‘specials’ for when the KiwiSpurs congregate for games – so, watch this space! Thanks to the Old Bailey in Wellington for coming onboard during the run-in to the Europa Final........and wanting us back!

Last season's success provides much to be hopeful about – it’s hope that kills us of course. But Thomas Frank has started tinkering on the inside with a way of playing that might just suit us better. As I said last season it’s never been a better time to be a Tottenham fan and I was right. Can we go one better this season - why not. (ED. Note: It’s always a good time to be a Tottenham fan! I mean, what have the Arse won recently?)

Here, we reflect on our growing base of fans - die-hards, existing season ticket holders (yes!) plastics, those still coming out of the closet, those, whose one and only lillywhite shirt has more chance fitting the hamster than it does you! Whatever group you fall into, whatever status describes you best, have a think about joining our Membership. With regular Facebook posts, WhatsApp convo's, game updates and monthly emails matched by supporters Blogs – we're here just to ensure you're not alone for those 3 or 4am morning kick-offs!

If you know of a ‘closet’ Spurs fan that might want to join our club, drop us a line or ask them to take a look at this website or our FB page

Once again, thanks for your support, enjoy your season with us and COYS!!

All the Best

Richard
